Rouxmesnil-Bouteilles WWII Commemoration Ceremony

by Tanya

We have visited Rouxmesnil-Bouteilles twice now for the Feb. 11 commemoration ceremony.

The ceremony honors those who were killed when the B24 Liberator "Lonesome Polecat" was shot down by the Nazi's in World War II. The ceremony is moving and humbling. It's a great example of how France has not forgotten the sacrifices made by many to defeat the Nazi's.
